2018 March Madness Mascots Midwest Region - Omaha, Nebraska

In this region we'll start with a "frog" that's actually a lizard, but not just any lizard. It's an official state reptile. From frog to fruit takes us to a post-controversy mascot. Speaking of controversy, the Christian-religion inspired mascot may protest the two devils in this group. Others may just put them in the category of mythical, which is where this region's bird roosts.
There are also five guys, but not burgers. However, the bison may be on someone's menu, including one of the cats of the wild or the other four-legged predator of the group. Finally, we give a nod to the two more quadrupeds, one that butts heads with opponents and one that may carry the team into the next round - sooner or later. Probably later. Like not this year. They looked good out of the gate, but stumbled through the stretch to the finish line. They're lucky they didn't get put down. Down to the NIT.
